Dussmann Service has won numerous new contracts in several countries that start in the New Year. Dr. Wolfgang Häfele, since August 2017 Dussmann Group executive board spokesman and responsible for facility management operation in the German-speaking regions sees these as an excellent basis for a successful business year and has a clear goal: “We already have 90 percent of planned turnover for 2018 on the books but independent of this, we intend to grow. We plan to expand the scope of our technical services significantly whilst maintaining the standards of our current core business. Our goal is to lift Dussmann Service to the next level with innovative solutions for the wide range of challenges that confront our clients. This means involving ourselves in our clients’ processes and creating solutions that are customized and flexible.” He summarizes his approach: “Ultimately, we seek the best available solution for the client”.

Dussmann Deli goes worldwide
The Dussmann Deli outlets take fast food to the gourmet level. Whether it is breakfast, a lunchtime snack, a coffee break or something for the journey home; Dussmann Deli supports its customers in their day-to-day routine and is easily integrated into staff restaurant operations. Four new Dussmann Deli outlets have been opened in addition to the existing ones in Berlin and Klagenfurt; three in Vietnam and one in Tallinn, Estonia.

A strong partner for transport and logistics
Dussmann is building on its expertise in the transport sector with three new contracts:  with cleaning contracts at the Italian airport in Bergamo “Orio al Serio”, the Verona Airport and the Vilnius International Airport in Lithuania.

In Luxembourg, the national railway company, CFL, has been a Dussmann Service security services client for several years. In December 2017, the contract was expanded to include on-train security.

In Italy too, the existing contract with the state railway company Trenitalia has grown. Dussmann Service cleans the high-speed trains Frecciarossa and Frecciargento; The fleet comprises over 100 trains which travel from the North to the South of the country and from the East to the West each day. In this contract alone, Dussmann Service employs around 1,200 people who carry out interior cleaning, sometimes in the moving train, exterior cleaning and graffiti removal.   

Major contracts in Italian hospitals
Growth in the healthcare sector: Dussmann Service has taken on responsibility for cleaning, logistics and several other soft services at the largest hospital in Turin, the Citta della Salute e della Scienza. A further catering contract with the Careggi Hospital, the largest hospital in Florence also went to Dussmann Service.
